Hi huns! I hope everyone is having a great day today so far!
Today it’s time for me to tell you all about part 2 of my trip to Benidorm, for part 1 please click here.
On our third day in Benidorm Emily and I were going to have a pool day, sunbathing and swimming. However after half an hour spent covered in our towels by the sunbeds it was clear we were way too chilly to stay outside doing nothing and there was no way we could even attempt to have a swim in the pool. It was too cold! Whilst we knew it was due to get hotter later on in the day we didn’t want to hang around forever, so instead we scrapped our plans and decided to head to Terra Natura, Benidorm’s local zoo.
I love animals so spending my day at the zoo is ideal for me and I had so much fun at Terra Natura. Upon arrival I had the opportunity to hold a reptile (I say reptile because I’m not sure what it was, it was a lizard of some sort but I’ve not a clue what type) and have my photo taken. I didn’t buy the photo as I wasn’t keen on it but it was fun all the same to hold the little reptile, her name was Bluebell. Later on in the day I also had the chance to hold a falcon which was scary and again, I didn’t buy the photo because I didn’t like it.
After holding Bluebell, Emily and I headed straight to the elephants which are sooo cute. We made it just in time to see them being fed and I saw them eat so many bananas and apples. It’s crazy to watch how they eat and I was fascinated to see these animals so close to me, we had a great viewing spot. It’s funny because in the souvenir store they had elephant ears for sale so I made sure to buy some for my photos by the elephants. Anything for the ‘gram.
Along with the beautiful elephants, we also saw a lion, tigers, monkeys and so much more. The monkeys are my favourite to watch because it’s fun to see them climbing and swinging around!
Halfway through the day, Emily and I got hungry so of course we grabbed some lunch. We got some really nice food from one of the café’s at the zoo and although I didn’t get a photo it was probably one of the best meals I had throughout the whole of my trip. I got a chicken burger with chips and onion rings and the meal was absolutely amazing! My mouth is watering just thinking about it actually. I’d go back to Terra Natura just for the food.
After the zoo Emily and I headed back to the hotel and got ready to go out for dinner and check out the beach. By that time the weather, after being nice and hot throughout our time at the zoo, had gone back to being a little chilly and whilst it definitely wasn’t bikini weather, I still managed to rock the shorts and strappy crop look for the evening.
We spent a little time at the beach and I dipped my toes in the sea (it was cold but nice) then we headed off for dinner where I made the mistake of ordering a four cheese pizza. It was horrific. The menu didn’t state exactly what cheeses were being used but I definitely tasted goats cheese in there somewhere, essentially meaning the pizza tasted like farm. It was awful. If you caught my blog post on part one of Benidorm, you know I really didn’t have much luck with food this holiday. Luckily I ordered some ice cream for dessert which happened to be much tastier, then Emily and I headed over to The Red Lion bar, a fun venue with music and a good atmosphere. I had a delicious Purple Rain cocktail and Emily and I chilled out for a while with our drinks and good conversation, it was the perfect way to end the night.
On day four of Beni I didn’t take any photos except for one, which was of a pizza because I had to share on my snapchat that it tasted way better than the previous nights!
It was our last day so we literally just chilled, ate a ton of ice cream, grabbed some lunch (hence the pizza) and enjoyed the beach before it was time to say goodbye to Benidorm and catch our flight home.
I had the most fun and silly time in Benidorm with my best friend, it was a great weekend and Emily and I shared so many giggles together. I never knew Benidorm would be just so amazing as it was, I was so impressed with the town and of course my favourite part definitely had to be the dolphin show and going to MundoMar, not to mention spending quality time with my number one hun making memories to last us a life time!
Thanks Emily for coming on this adventure with me, I hope you loved it just as much as I did (also thanks for being my photographer and helping me to get the perfect pics)!
