It’s time again for another Shopaholic Sunday. As you all know I love shopping (I swear I say this everytime) and in the past couple of months I’ve definitely treated myself, mostly to lots of gorgeous new clothes. My wardrobe is looking so good right now, I am living for it. Not only have I bought lots of lovely clothes lately but I’ve also treated myself to lots of other bits and bobs from books to postcards to of course LUSH bath bombs. It wouldn’t be a haul if I didn’t feauture something from LUSH right?
In recent weeks I’ve been obsessed with two things, casual wear and the colour yellow – not only do I think the colour really suits me buuuut I love how bright and sunny the shade is. I spotted this gorgeous cropped yellow tee in Foot Asylum and knew it had to be mine straight away, this top is perfect for me. It’s bright, fun, cute and casual and I fall in love every time I wear it. This tee is 100% one of my favourite items in my wardrobe right now and I can’t get enough of wearing it.
In keeping with the casual ‘n’ yellow theme, I found this super cute yellow jumper hoodie in New Look and had to treat. This hoodie is a mustard shade of yellow and I laaav it. It’s cute and comfy and I love that it’s cropped, because I prefer that type of style. Since I love this casual cropped hoodie style so much I also had to treat myself to two others from New Look in similar styles, one in white and one in red! I am literally alternating between the three right now, they’re all so comfy and the white one gives me all the Jason Derulo Tip Toe vibes.
As I have been loving casual clothes lately I’ve had my mind set on finding myself the perfect tracksuit. Well who’d have thought I’d find it at the Lyceum Theatre when I went to see The Lion King? I spotted these Lion King jogging bottoms on sale with all the merchandise at the theatre and I couldn’t resist. They are perfect for me and again, so comfy (if I had a pound for every time I’ve used that word in this blog post). I didn’t buy the matching hoodie to go with because it was a zip up and that’s not my style but it’s okay because they work perfectly paired with my yellow New Look hoodie.
Along with the colour yellow another shade I’ve fallen in love with recently is white. I love wearing white! It gives me all the wifey vibes and makes me feel so angelic and bridal. I was looking for the perfect white outfit for a night out and after a failed dress purchase from Pretty Little Thing I found the perfect body suit from Quiz which is just stunning. It was a risk to buy because I’d never worn a bodysuit and after purchased it couldn’t be returned but gosh it was a risk worth taking, I love!! It’s the prettiest little number and it’s going to look amazing on holiday with a tan.
In the past few weeks I’ve felt quite stressed and anxious, so much so it got to the point where I thought enough is enough and I decided to treat myself to a book I knew my friend had also recently purchased – ‘The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck’ by Mark Manson. One word, incredible. This book is awesome. It’s not so much about not caring about things but more about choosing the things worth caring about. Like some people aren’t worth worrying about, but your true friends and family are worth giving a f*ck about. It’s about not giving a f*ck about giving a f*ck. Not being afraid to feel pain. That type of thing. I’m totally not doing the book justice here but I swear, it’s pretty fantastic. I’m only on Chapter 5 but I’m loving it so far and I can’t wait to read more.
I’ve followed Malala Yousafzai on social media for a while now and I think she is an incredible, inspirational young lady which is why when I found out she had a book, ‘I am Malala’, I had to purchase. I’ve only read a few chapters of her story so far but already I feel as though I’ve learnt so much. The book is very insightful and informative and makes me realise how lucky I am to have been blessed with a free education. If it were up to me I’d encourage all teenagers to read I Am Malala because it’s easy to take education for granted especially when you’re younger and ‘can’t be bothered’ to go to school so this book could really help to show how education is a gift that should be appreciated and valued, as Malala was willing to die for her right for an education.
BITS & BOBS
In February my best friend Emily and I went to London to see Mamma Mia at the theatre and whilst there we decided to stop off at Bubba Gump’s restaurant inspired by the film Forrest Gump. Naturally they have a little store in the restaurant where you can buy cool souvenirs and as I collect shotglasses I decided to pick a Bubba Gump one up to add to my collection. Isn’t it the coolest?
I was also lucky enough to go to the theatre again last month, this time to see The Lion King. As the show was in London and I collect postcards as well as shot glasses, I had to pick up another London postcard to add to my collection. I already have a couple from London because I get one most times I go as they all tell different stories / remind me of different memories.
Last but not least how can I finish this post without mentioning LUSH! When in London to see Mamma Mia I of course stopped off at LUSH in Oxford Street to treat myself to some goodies. I picked up the Trident Submarine bath bomb, the Whole Lotta Love bubbleroon from the Valentine’s collection and the Tiger Tiger Burning Bright bath bomb. I’ve only used the Whole Lotta Love bubbleroon so far which is absolutely gorgeous and I’m so excited to try the other two products! I love LUSH!
I am so happy with all of my new purchases from the past couple of months especially all of my gorgeous new clothes! I love the hoodies! Casual is my new favourite style for sure.
