Hello and welcome to day 6(ish) of the 30 day gratitude challenge. I say 6ish because technically I should be on like day 12 or whatever today, but I’ve not been writing these everyday because I intend to write them at night time before bed so I can reflect, but by then I’m always too tired. But I’mma be better at this, I promise. Because I think being thankful and showing gratitude is so important, I want to encourage it everyday. I do keep a personal daily gratitude journal which I write in every morning, but I want to practice it more here on the blog too. I’m determined to finish this challenge off properly now, and answer these prompts everyday.
Day 6’s prompt is nature. One of my favourite things in the world and as my sister would quote me on a regular basis, ‘I bloody love nature’. I said that one day whilst sat outside in the garden and my sister found it hilarious, apparently. Now she says it all the time.
Well, I love nature with all my heart and being outside and embracing the natural beauty of this world is one of my all time favourite things. I absolutely adore going out for walks and seeing the flowers, the trees, the birds and the cows. My favourite place to walk is Ouzel Valley Park, which is essentially a grazing area for cows and sheep, hence why I love to walk there so much because I get to see the cute animals. There’s also a beautiful little stream / river which runs through which is lovely to walk by and sometimes I see little duckies and swans swimming along merrily. So cute.

Of course I adore flowers. They are so so beautiful and sometimes I just think how truly blessed we are that this Universe and God has blessed us with the beauty of flowers. Honestly. We are so fortunate. Every time I open my eyes and see beautiful flowers I feel so thankful for such beauty. Thank you God for our flowers and trees!

Butterflies are another thing in nature that I feel so thankful for. Butterflies are the best! Every time I see them I just think how gorgeous they are, I could watch butterflies all day. When I have my own garden I’m for sure getting a buddleia bush because they attract butterflies, and I am so excited to go on holiday because hopefully in the sunnier climate there will be a large variety of butterflies there to enjoy watching.

I love nature so much and I am so thankful for each and every part of it! We are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful world which has so much natural beauty to offer. As they say the best things in life are free and I am so appreciative of all the natural beauty I get to experience everyday in my own garden and city, purely thanks to the Universe, God and mother nature herself. As I said, I bloody love nature.

What in nature are you grateful for today? Let me know in the comments below.
Thank you all for reading,
Love,
Jennie

I know I have said this (and I am totally spamming your blog!) BUT I love this challenge. Despite growing up in the mountains (doesn’t get more nature-y then that!) I hated nature. I had convinced myself I was a glamorous city girl and I couldn’t be both, but as I have gotten older, I love it. Especially BEING a city girl officially, I love going home and appreciating the trees and mountains and going for a hike (STILL hate the bugs though! lol) and of course my most FAVORITE place in nature is the ocean 🙂 ❤
