30 Days Of Gratitude | Day 9 | Place

Hello everybody and welcome to day 9 of the 30 days of gratitude challenge.

Todays prompt is PLACE. What place are you grateful for today?

Today, as I am spending the day at home, the place I would like to give thanks for is, you guessed it, my home.

My home is my safe place. My place where I can relax fully and enjoy being comfortable. I have my bedroom with a bed, somewhere for me to sleep peacefully at night and rest my head. I have a kitchen in which I can cook whatever I please (or whatever I’m able, I’m certainly no chef), a living room where I spend time with my family watching films and eating dinner, and I have a bathroom where I can wash and relax with a nice hot bubble bath if I so desire. Oh, and I have a garden where I can sunbathe, have BBQ’s and enjoy the outdoors! I am so thankful for my home.

I really think it’s so easy for people to take their homes for granted. If you don’t know what it’s like to be without a home why would you necessarily think to give thanks for the roof over your head? It’s easy to forget how fortunate we are, and how something that seems like such a birthright even, something we’ve known our whole lives- a home, is something that many people are surviving without and it’s absolutely bizarre to think that there are people out there with not even a roof over their head. A house should not be a luxury, everybody deserves a safe place to rest their head at night and I for one will never ever take my home for granted, because I consider myself so thankful to have been born into a family who can provide for me and bless me with a home to live in!

Which place are you most grateful for today? Let me know in the comments below.

Thank you all for reading,

  1. First I LOVE this! Giving gratitude is so important, but second girl you are the absolute sweetest! Having a home whether it is your childhood home or the home you have made years later, it is so important to have that as you called it “safe space” and unfortunately not everyone does have that. ❤

  2. My goodness I love this! The place I’m most grateful for is certainly my home as well. It’s a place of refuge; a sanctuary. It’s so important to remember not to take our homes for granted! ❤

  3. Yes indeed. Home is where the heart is lol. I feel most comfy at my home too like when I’m out am about at my family’s home sometimes I’m just waiting to get home because I feel the most comfortable here. Though because I am a SAHM, my home can also be a place that I want to escape from time to time lmao but of course I’ll come back 😂

    1. I couldn’t agree more. I much prefer being at my house compared to anybody else’s because it’s mine. I can do exactly what I want without having to worry about anybody else! If I want to get something from the fridge, I can without asking for permission! Ooh yes, I can imagine. Welll sometimes you have to fly a little freely to appreciate what you have! There’s definitely pros to getting out of the house too. Thanks for your comment Rossy x
