August Reflections ’18

Hello lovelies!

August was an exciting and busy month for me, filled with travel and adventure.

I started off the month with a walk with my girls, where I trod in dog poo, which wouldn’t be half as bad (still gross) had I not been wearing my brand new Gucci trainers. Brilliant. So yeah, I guess you could say the month was off to an… interesting start. Unfortunate event number one had occurred!

Last month I started dating again. I say dating again like I was dating before, when let’s face it, we really can’t call what I was doing dating, ha ha. When I say started dating again, I really mean I started dating a new guy who I met on a night out, which is exciting. This is where Unfortunate event number two happened. Basically, date night consisted of bars and cocktails and one of the bars we visited had hammocks, not full on laying down hammocks, but hammocks all the same. Hammocks of which I fell off of. Embarrassing or what? Thankfully my date had gone to the bar to order some drinks the moment gravity decided not to work in my favour, so I’m praying he didn’t see. I mean, sure, other people saw, but at least not my date, I would have been even more mortified than I was already. So much for cool and composed. He would have thought he literally had me falling at his feet, ha ha. Anyway, embarrassing moment aside, the date actually went really well and we went out again once I had arrived home from my holiday, and we’ve been seeing other since. Guys, not to get too ahead of myself, but things seem to be going well. I’m really enjoying seeing this guy and I really like him, he’s great company, a good listener and v thoughtful and considerate. I’m not going to get toooo soppy just in case he finds this blog post and I end up having to move abroad and get a whole new identity because of the embarrassment but what I will say is, yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing where things go! So far, so good.

As I briefly mentioned above, last month I went on holiday, finally, to my dream locationItaly. Hurrah, we made it. As Rossy so thoughtfully remembered, this trip almost didn’t happen as we were supposed to be going last year, but unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we couldn’t, so we rebooked again for this year. It’s been a long time coming but we finally did it! Italy was amazing and a bucket list location for me, we went everywhere, from Tuscany to Rome to Sorrento and more and I couldn’t be more thankful that I had this opportunity. My highlights of the trip include swimming in the sea with my mama, watching the sunset with my parents, exploring Rome and visiting the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps, chilling by the pool with my parents, and eating out for dinner every night with my faves. Seriously, roll on our next holiday.

One of my favourite evenings from last month was my little trip to Bicester Village with my girls, we had such a fun evening shopping and spending time together, it was great! I also enjoyed a dinner out with my four favourites the day I arrived back from Italy and a lovely evening with my girls Emily and Hannah eating out for dinner and dessert! Yummy.

I ended the month with sister time, as my sister Zoë and I went out for a lovely little shop and lunch together. We ate at Byron Burger where I tried one of their veggie burgers off the kids menu, and of course I got the Mac N Cheese and a milkshake. It was lovely to spend some quality time with my sister and we are now intending on making monthly sister dates a thing. Exciting!

Speaking of veggie burgers, last month I experienced my first full month as a vegetarian and I experimented and tried more vegan food too. I tried a slice of my friends vegan pizza from Pizza Hut which was pretty decent, although maybe a few too many toppings and I tried Arrabiata from Frankie and Benny’s which I did not like but hey, at least I tried it!

Overall August was a really exciting and adventurous month for me filled with something different everyday, I also got into my Law Of Attraction routine a lot more last month so I feel as though I set some positive foundations for the next few months / next year coming up. It’s an exciting time!

What was your highlight from August? What’s your most embarrassing dating story? Let me know in the comments below.

Thank you all for reading,

love,

Jennie

Vegan is getting bigger in America but, it's still hard to find I feel like!! Pizza Hut and Mcdonald's doesn't have it here but in other countries they do!
