The Perks Of Heartache (A Poem)

Hola my angels and welcome back to my blog! It’s been a hot minute since I last wrote, but I’m back again once more.

So update, I’m writing a poetry book. This is just a little project I’m working on myself which I am so excited about, I’ve always loved writing and more often than not I make up my own poems / songs so I thought, this would be a great idea for my first book. I have all these poems I write, I may as well share them right? So whilst I’m going to be saving a lot of the poems for the book, I thought I’d share one here today which I literally just wrote. This is just the first draft of the poem, although some of the ones I’ve already written are pretty much finished, this one I definitely need to tweak to perfection, however I felt inspired to share it here on the blog today. When the Universe gives me a direction to take, I follow it!

This poem is about the perks of heartache. I write a lot about heartbreak, so I wanted to share a more uplifting poem showing the positive side of heartbreak. So anyone who may be going through it right now knows there’s always a way through, and things happen for you, so honestly, you will be just fine. ♥  Believe me I should know, you can read a few of my posts on heartbreak here and here, and then you can read some of my more recent life updates here and here, so I’m living proof you can and will get through the heartbreak and one day, you really will see it was all for the perfect reason and all for the best. I hope you enjoy this poem. ♥ Also, I just wanted to throw in I’m currently listening to Ed Sheeran’s new song with YEBBA ‘Best Part Of Me’ and it’s so beautiful oh my goodness, I can’t wait for his track with Eminem to be released. Exciting! But anyway, to the poem!

The Perks Of Heartache

Through the heartache,
through the pain
I have learnt so much
I have changed

For the better,
I’ve grown
and I am becoming
the woman I’ve always dreamed of being

Heartbreak hurts
It can seem destroying
But maybe it’s breaking the person you no longer need to be
It starts the journey of evolving

Your chance to reinvent
Your chance to find yourself
Realise your own strength
Time to fall in love with you

A blessing in disguise
Heartache will make you
Every cloud
has a silver lining
I promise you’ll see it someday

Side note: ‘Best of Me’ has finished and now I have Ed Sheeran’s new song with Chris Stapleton and Bruno Mars ‘Blow’ playing… erm what? I am living for it! Okay, if these tracks are anything to go by, his collab with Eminem is going to be amazing. Bring it on!

Anyway, back to topic, I hope you all enjoyed this poem. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below, all thoughts are welcome. ♥ To anyone who may be going through heartbreak right now, you got this and you’re going to be just fine. Better than just fine, you’re going to be glowing, thriving and happier than ever sooner than you could even imagine!

Sending love, light and blessings your way,

have a great day.

thank you for reading,

love,

Jennie
