Hello my loves and welcome back to my blog! How is everyone today? I hope you’re all fantastic and having a great week so far.
As you may or may not know if you’ve seen my recent blog posts, I have been loving reading and writing about books lately. I’ve always been a massive bookworm, but at the moment I am just so into it. Recently, I purchased a few new books, mostly spiritual, which I am so excited to read and I thought it would be great to share a haul with you here of the exciting books I’ve bought myself recently.
If you know me, you’ll know that one of my all time favourite Youtuber’s is Leeor Alexandra, who of course I follow on Instagram. A couple of weeks ago she posted a story asking for book recommendations, and she shared some of the responses she got in her stories so we could all benefit from the suggestions. A lot of these books she herself has already read so she wanted to join in with advising them and participated in the recommendations by leaving little reviews of each suggested book, naturally I was then inspired to purchase a few of the books mentioned. These books all sounds super exciting, beneficial, life changing and interesting and I am so looking forward to reading them.
Without further ado, let’s jump into the haul!
Jennie’s July Book Haul
The Ancient Secret Of The Flower Of Life Volume 1 – Drunvalo Melchizedek
Described by Leeor as a great introduction to the ‘esoteric side of life’, I am so so excited to read this and dive down into the rabbit hole. I think this book will be a lot different to anything I have ever read before and I am giddy with anticipation to read this, I can’t wait to see how it ‘flips my life upside down’ as Leeor suggests it will do… Things could get very, very interesting. This is definitely next up on my TBR list after what I’m currently reading and I am so intrigued by this book. I will definitely be reviewing ‘The Ancient Secret Of The Flower Of Life’ here on the blog too once read, so you can hear all my thoughts on it then. It’s actually quite a small book with just over 200 pages so I don’t think it will take me long to read at all. I’m excited!
The Game Of Life & How To Play It – Florence Scovel-Shinn
I started reading this book online before I actually purchased the physical copy because I couldn’t get to a bookstore fast enough before having to read this, it sounded amazing from Leeor’s recommendation and oh, it’s so brilliant. It’s such a simple, easy read which explains the Law Of Attraction so clearly, it’s perfect for both people just starting out on their Law Of Attraction journey and people who have already been on the ‘journey’ for a while alike, as it breaks everything down so clearly, it gives you a great level of understanding and makes you want to change your life and what you put out to the Universe instantly. It will shift you so you become more aware of the words you’re saying, the feelings you’re feeling and what you’re putting out into the Universe. You are more aware of how what you give is what you receive so this is a brilliant, brilliant book which I’d highly recommend. Honestly, as I was reading the first few pages online I was screenshotting so many pages and sending them to my family group chat because they are such important extracts and reads, I really couldn’t recommend this book more based on what I’ve already read so far. Of course I haven’t finished the whole book yet, but I look forward to doing so and again, I will be reviewing it here for you on the blog and I’m sure lending it to so many people because so far it seems incredibly beneficial and a must read. Stay tuned for more thoughts on this book coming soon!
Ask and It Is Given Learning To Manifest Your Desires – Esther and Jerry Hicks (The teachings of Abraham)
Leeor highly recommended this book in her Instagram stories and she said it shifted her manifesting process, so of course I am so excited to read this one as naturally I want to be the best I can possibly be at manifesting so I can manifest all my hearts desires with ease. This book appears to be quite big although it is only 300 pages (not including the Glossary & the About The Authors section) but I do think I will benefit a lot from this book, so I’m excited to read it soon. I’m definitely interested and at a very minuscule sneak peak, it seems like it’s going to be pretty magical. I’m ready for this, roll on the manifesting!
I Heart London – Lindsey Kelk
In a massive genre change, we now have a chick lit book and it’s my last purchase in this haul. As you may know if you’ve seen my recent bookshelf posts, you will know how much I’ve been loving Lindsey Kelk’s I Heart series lately. It’s such a fun series, easy to read and filled with so much travel which you know how much I love, so since I finished ‘I Heart Vegas’ last week, I immediately had to purchase the next book in the series, ‘I Heart London’. I’ve started reading this one already and so far so good, I’m looking forward to reading more and enjoying a more relaxing, lighthearted read with this one. I really enjoyed ‘I Heart Vegas’, so I’m excited to see what comes next with this book. I am so glad I’m late to the party with the I Heart series because I’d totally struggle if I had to wait for the next instalment in the series, thankfully they’re all already published so I can find out what happens next in the story straight away. No waiting for me!
Have you read any of the books in my haul? What’s your favourite genre of book? Let me know in the comments below.
As always thank you so much for reading,
lots of love,
