‘Tonight the super trouper lights are gonna find me
Shining like the sun (sup-p-per troup-p-per)
Smiling, having fun (sup-p-per troup-p-per)
Feeling like a number one’
Anyone else a massive fan of Abba? Having re-watched Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again a couple or so months ago now, once again I felt super (trouper) inspired by the style of Young Donna (Lily James), and knew I had to update my wardrobe with more Young Donna inspired fashion asap, and in turn, create some outfit posts for the blog!
The original plan was to create a Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again inspired Look Book, but I’m going to kick it off with a single outfit post, whether I turn this into a series, or combine the rest of the outfits into one singular Look Book, only time will tell, but either way I am here today with the ‘Super Trouper’ inspired outfit!
Let’s get into it…
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again ‘Super Trouper’ Outfit Of The Day
T-Shirt Dress – Zara *exact item not linked, but I have linked to the ASOS white t-shirt dresses section here.
Snake Belt – Pretty Little Thing
Boots – River Island *exact item not linked, similar linked here.
How cute is this outfit? I love how chic it is and how colour co-ordinated! At the end of the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again film, the whole cast perform ‘Super Trouper’ and the outfit Young Donna wears is very similar to what I’m wearing here (naturally, it’s what the look’s inspired by ;)).
I’m not typically a wearer of belts, but based on the style in the film, a belt was a necessity and I thought this snake design was very cool, something a little more groovy for all those Mamma Mia vibes.
I originally wanted to wear my crushed velvet boots with this outfit, however as they are over the knee, they actually ending up being way too high with the dress covering them – this is why I had to go for my white heeled boots instead – luckily, I think they go just perfectly.
I absolutely love this outfit, it feels very Mamma Mia / Young Donna to me, so it’s no wonder it brings me so much joy.
I’m currently replaying the Super Trouper scene on YouTube as I write this, and oh how I wish I could dress like I’m from the Mamma Mia films every single day. Does this movie franchise bring anyone else the utmost joy? It’s just SO FEEL GOOD.
